No, not $10,000... That sure would reduce my stress about school a whole bunch.
This week I won a raffle for a Nike band. It's essentially a watch that I wear while running that syncs with an adapter in my shoe. I had to buy new shoes, but I was already planning to at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, which, conveniently, started yesterday (the same day I got the band).
I have been on two runs so far and the one this morning was a full 10K.
On August 31st, I can use the band to run in the "Nike Human Race" 10K fundraiser. I don't know the details or who is benefited, but now that I got the band for free and know that I can run the 10K, I feel pretty obligated to do so. I just hope my knees and ankles don't go out by then... This whole tracking my miles and time puts a lot of pressure on me to run as much as possible. Unfortunately, this doesn't work on the elliptical machines in the gym.
One thing about the band is that the calorie count doesn't really work. That, or I didn't burn any calories running 9 miles...
