The Wrinks

Every summer my grandparents come into town from Hawaii for 1-2 months. They stay with my parents, but that usually means I have to spend a couple of hours there on the nights I'm not dancing. Mind you, this is *after* my day that begins with me leaving the house between 4:30 and 5 am and getting home between 6 and 7 pm. The stupid thing is I usually end up taking a nap while they watch Wheel of Fortune, which, btw, my grandma is insanely good at.

Don't get me wrong, I love my grandparents. In fact, a few days after they leave my sister and I are flying to Hawaii to see them again... I know, too much freaking travelling this summer...

My grandpa loves nothing more than putting together puzzles all day (seriously, he does a 1,000 piece puzzle every couple of days) and hanging out with the "kids," aka dogs. He used to build random cupboards or shelves around the house, but has finally retired from that.

My grandmother loves complaining about the Mariners (has been a die hard fan since Ichiro joined the team) and playing free online poker. Most of all, she loves cooking way too much food, making us eat a bunch and then asking us if we gained weight...

The Wrinks
Mom came up with the loving nickname, "the wrinks." She also uses the abbreviation "HOFO" (Herbert O./Frances O.), but that just sounds like it's either supposed to be some sort of new ebonics term or an airport code.
