Lately, when the local news runs out of things to talk about, they always seem to fall back on a story on rising gas prices. This week airlines announced their earnings, which is what lead to today's story. The funny part about this is that they had some guy at the airport talking about a decline in earnings from about 5 major airlines. When he 'displayed' what their percentage decreases were he actually had pieces of paper that he wrote on with a sharpie. Seriously? They finally have an appropriate lead in for gas prices couldn't throw together a quick graphic? Lame.
The reporter then proceeded to talk about ways to "save" when travelling and noted that he wears his big size 13 1/2 shoes on the plane rather than slippers.
