Let's be honest, I love television. I am not in any way one of those people who are just too cool to own a TV and who can't be bothered with pop culture. I sure would have a lot more time on my hands if I were one of those people, but it's just not me...I also have this odd capability to love shows that have really annoying leading actresses. A friend of mine described these girls as "chihuahua girls." I asked if this is because they're so small that they'll die if you step on them, but she defined them as girls who shiver a lot and are kind of yappy. Both are true, but I like my definition better.
Seriously, though, why so whiny? Why so self-involved and obnoxious? Am I just jealous of their fame, fortune and their size 00 physiques? Probably. Even more so, I am annoyed that there is some truth to their crazyness and I hate it's being emphasized as the main reason for these central characters.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't an overall rule. I am a huge fan of Kristen Bell and Sarah Michelle Gellar. To my earlier point, these are strong, confident women.
