New Year's Resolutions

Yes, I realize it's a mere 4 hours away from May, but I thought I'd transfer my new year's resolutions over to my new blog. For the record, I don't usually make these, but Meg inspired me by actually reposting them at the end of the new year and evaluating her progress... ahh, KPIs are great.

1. Stay motivated at work. People who work hard all the time really impress me and I really would like to like myself for most of the year.

So far: I'd say attempting to further my career by applying to grad school and taking an accounting class is pretty good.

2. Go see Truman. It's sad that he has been gone for 4-5 years now and I *still* have not made the 2-hour plane ride down to SF. I'm a loser.

So far: the plane ticket has been purchased (and even shifted)! Yay!

3. Dance more during the off season. Maybe a short break in February, but I need to keep my ass in shape.

So far: ... sort of. I'm exercising a lot, but mostly because of Vegas. I'm also poor because I bought a new car.

4. Go outside. Seriously, I'm going to plan some hikes this year. Note, they will be short ones where I do not need to sleep outside. That is just wrong.

So far: I might do one this weekend! It hasn't really been in season until now, so I get a free pass these first four months.

5. Get a netflix account. Maybe I won't buy so many movies... Although, Juno will need to be purchased.

So far: Mel gave me access to her account (score!) and I somehow resisted purchasing Juno even while it's available at Starbucks.

6. Save money for a car. Boo is reliable, but getting old and expensive. I need to have enough for a decent downpayment.

So far: Boo died on March 1st. RIP, Boo. I haven't been able to name the new car yet.

We'll see what happens... I would also like to add "go on a date" and "have no one in my family pass away," but those are both completely out of my hands.

HA! I got one out of the two impossible ones! We'll see if I can get both by the end of the year.
